Although production of the IWC GST only lasted for eight years, the Schaffhausen-based manufacturer created the Toolwatch with numerous complications. Even the name GST, which stands for "Gold, Steel, Titanium", suggests the impressive variety of designs based on the predecessor model, the IWC Aquatimer. With Salmon Dials or the Perpetual Calendar in a sports watch, the company was quick to recognise and successfully implement trends in the watch industry.
